Feature Overview
This release introduces Patient Creation functionality in Akido Chart, allowing schedulers and front desk staff to register new patients directly from the Patient Search page and immediately proceed to appointment scheduling. The new streamlined workflow reduces the time between patient registration and booking.
Where do I create a new patient?
Go to the Patient Search page and open the Patients tab. A new "+" button there opens the patient registration form.
What does the registration form look like?
It opens as a pop-up window. The form is split into sections, and you click between them in the menu on the left. You do not have to scroll through one long form.
Which sections do I have to complete before I can save?
Two sections are required: Patient and Contact. The rest are optional and you can fill them in later.
Can I book an appointment right after registering the patient?
Save the patient record and you can go straight into scheduling an appointment, without leaving and searching for them again.
Will the patient show up in search right away?
Yes. The patient comes up in Akido Chart search as soon as you save.
Do I need to go into Capella to register a patient anymore?
No, not for registration. Create the patient in Akido Chart and it syncs back to Capella.
