File Upload 2.0

This release introduces File Upload functionality in Akido Chart, allowing receptionists, medical assistants, and clinic staffs to upload and index files from anywhere in Chart, not just from a patient's chart. The Upload and Index Files panel accepts multiple files in a single session, each assigned to its own patient, and captures document metadata at upload time.

Click the universal upload icon. It's available on every page in Akido Chart, so you can start an upload from wherever you are. You can also still upload from a patient's chart through the Actions menu.

No. Use the universal upload icon from any page and choose the patient for each file in the upload panel.

The Upload and Index Files panel opens. Add your files there, assign each one to a patient, and fill in the document details before you upload. The details are saved with the file, so it's filed correctly from the start.

Yes. Add several files in one session using the Blue Plus Sign and assign each file to its own patient separately. The panel keeps a running count of documents ready to upload. Click Upload All to send the whole batch at once.

When you open the upload panel from a patient chart's Actions menu, the Patient field is filled in with that patient and locked. This keeps the file attached to the chart you're working in. To upload for a different patient, start from the universal upload icon instead.

For multi-page documents, pick the pages you want to upload instead of attaching the whole file. You can split one file into separate documents by page range.

Click the file in the upload panel. It expands to a full preview, and you stay in the panel while you look it over.

It's in the patient's record right away. You don't need to refresh the page.
