Feature Overview
This release introduces a major key enhancement to Akido Chart:
- Tasks UI - The new Tasks UI is a replacement of Quickbase, bringing task management natively into Akido Chart so clinic staff never need to open an external website to manage their work. The redesigned experience consolidates patient communications, lab result reviews, shared clinical notes, and general task assignments into a single, streamlined queue. Tasks can now be created, prioritized, filtered, assigned, and completed without leaving the chart, dramatically reducing the number of clicks and context-switching that staff previously encountered in Quickbase.
Getting Started
What shows up in my queue?
Your queue has three kinds of items. Tasks are action requests someone created for a patient. Results are test results that need review, whether they came in automatically or were uploaded by hand. Shared Notes are notes a supervised NP or PA shared for review and attestation.
I can't find the task I'm looking for.
Use the dropdowns at the top of the queue to filter by Assigned By Me, Assigned To Me, Status, and Priority.
How do I work a task?
Click the task row to open its detail panel. You can change the Status, Priority, or Assigned To, and add Comments. Click Mark Complete when you're done.
Do I need to click Save?
No. Changes save automatically.
How do I review a result?
Select the patient to open the result. Review it, then click Mark Reviewed. If someone else needs to handle it, reassign it with a comment instead. Use the filter to switch between Received and Uploaded results.
I'm looking at a result and need someone to follow up.
Click Create Task while you're viewing the result. Providers can use this to create a task and assign it to their MA without leaving the result.
How do I review a shared note?
Select the patient to open the note. Review it, then click Mark Complete. If something in the note needs follow-up, you can create a task from the same view.
How do I create a task for a patient?
Open the patient's profile in Akido Chart and click Actions → Create Task. Fill in the Title, Assignee, Priority, and Details, then click Create.
How do I see every task for one patient?
From the patient's Patient Profile, click Actions → View Patient Tasks. This shows every item for that patient, no matter who it's assigned to.
Quickbase and Capella
Where did Quickbase go?
Quickbase is retired as the task system. Tasks now live in Akido Chart, so you no longer open the Quickbase website to view or work a task.
I work mostly in Capella. How do I get to my tasks?
In Capella, go to My Q → My Tasks → "My Akido Tasks". From Patient Communications in Capella, click Create Task to make a new task, or Manage Tasks to see a patient's tasks.
